Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Every day I walk through the school gates, I witness a thriving educational community that continues to flourish and inspire.

Firstly, I want to acknowledge the exceptional staff who contribute so much to our school. The grounds remain beautifully presented, our office staff are consistently welcoming, caring, and supportive, and our classrooms provide engaging, motivating, and fun learning environments. The wide array of extracurricular opportunities available to our students — including leadership, public speaking, debating, SRC, dance, robotics, band, drama, choir, soccer, tennis, touch, netball, athletics, cross country, swimming, and green group — reflects the dedication and passion of our staff. Our students have not only participated in but achieved success in many carnivals, eisteddfods, festivals, and performances that showcase their talents and commitment.

Our parents and carers have been wonderfully supportive, attending events such as, Easter and Book Week parades, open days, carnivals, Teacher-Parent-Student conferences, and assemblies, in great numbers. We are particularly grateful for the ongoing encouragement and support from our school community, especially the LPS P&C, which plays a vital role in enriching the school experience for all children.

Our students have demonstrated outstanding behaviour, achieved excellent academic results, and shown remarkable success in representative events this year. This strong foundation of respect, effort, and community spirit exemplifies what makes Laurieton Public School such a special place.

We look forward to welcoming your family to our beautiful school community.

Grant Timmins, Principal of Laurieton Public School
